USEFP announced two competitive non-degree programs – the Humphrey H. Humphrey Fellowship and the Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) program – on June 13.
The Humphrey Fellowship is a 10- to 12-month program aimed at mid-level professionals who want to build on their knowledge base by enrolling in non-degree coursework and get some work experience in the USA. Applications are open for specific fields and the deadline to apply is July 20.
The FLTA program is open for teachers of English at the college and university level, preferably those who are still early in their careers. During the nine months of the program, selected applicants will be able to hone their English skills at a U.S. university, teach Urdu or Pashto to U.S. students, enroll in non-degree coursework, and interact with their host communities by facilitating cultural events. The deadline to apply is July 13.
Both programs are fully funded and require selected applicants to come back to Pakistan upon completion.
