USEFP regrets to announce the passing of Dr. Matt J. Duffy, a friend and member of the Fulbright Commission. Dr. Duffy, who was a journalist and an educator, died on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 after a prolonged illness.

Dr. Duffy enjoyed a visit to Pakistan in May 2016, as part of the Fulbright Scholar program from the U.S. State Department. While here, he visited colleges and universities to engage with students, as well as lawyers. Those who met him, will remember him for his wit, compassion, and commitment to the ideals of social justice.

Dr. Duffy is survived by his wife and children.
