This quarter, USEFP had the honor of hosting John Mark Pommersheim, Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, at its headquarters. Discussions focused on the Foundation’s 75 years connecting Pakistani students and professionals with academic and cultural exchange opportunities in the United States.
During the visit, Mr. Pommersheim was briefed on the current range of exchange programs administered by USEFP, including the Fulbright Program and the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program. EducationUSA Pakistan team members also shared insights into their free advising services and outreach efforts to Pakistani students.
Mr. Pommersheim also toured the custom-built headquarters which also boasts a Lincoln Corner — a U.S. Embassy-supported space that provides access to cultural information, educational resources, and community programming, as well as pod-cast and maker’s space studios.
