USEFP announced two competitive non-degree programs in June: the 2023 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship and the 2023 Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) program.
The Humphrey Fellowship is a 10- to 12-month program aimed at mid-level professionals who want to build on their knowledge base by enrolling in non-degree coursework and get some work experience in the USA. Applications are open for specific fields and the deadline to apply is July 19. Selected applicants are expected to share information about Pakistani life and culture with their American colleagues.
The FLTA program is open to teachers of English at the college and university level, preferably those who are still early in their careers. During the nine-month period, selected participants will be able to hone their English skills at a university in the United States, teach Urdu or Pashto to U.S. students, enroll in non-degree coursework, and network with their host communities by facilitating cultural events. The deadline to apply is July 20.
Both programs are fully funded and require selected applicants to come back to Pakistan upon completion.
