EdUSA Adviser Represents Pakistan in D.C. and Indiana

This summer, Senior EducationUSA Adviser Mashal Khan represented Team Pakistan at the EducationUSA Forum in Washington, D.C., the network’s flagship event. From July 29 to August 1, higher education professionals and EducationUSA advisers from over 50 countries came together to collaborate on strategies and explore student mobility trends.

Khan was part of two key panels: the first was a deep dive into the region during which she presented an overview of Pakistan’s recruitment landscape, while the second panel focused on success strategies for international students. Khan discussed how EducationUSA Pakistan prepares outbound students through pre-departure orientations.

The sessions ended with a ‘global showcase’ for which Khan set up a vibrant country table to share country-specific information and explore collaboration opportunities. This year’s forum also marked EducationUSA’s 25th anniversary of success.

Touring Indiana

Right before the forum, Khan participated in campus visits to four universities in Indiana: University of Southern Indiana, University of Evansville, University of Indianapolis, and Ball State University. At each institution, Khan, along with a group of other advisers, was able to take a comprehensive look at various offerings, including sports facilities, housing options, business centers, planetariums, outstanding departments, and spaces for creativity.

“Each campus was a treasure trove of sights and resources. I enjoyed learning more about the leadership opportunities, academic support, and progressive education that encourages expression and involvement,” said Khan. “U.S. campuses ensure they have everything a student needs to succeed.”
