This quarter, USEFP’s testing labs garnered high praise from Prometric for providing state-of-the-art examination services in Pakistan. Based on audit performance, candidate survey scores, and a few other measures, the Lahore and Islamabad labs were ranked among the top ten in the entire Australasian region.

Some other highlights of the quarter included:

High interest in PTE

A large number of candidates appeared for the Pearson Test of English (PTE) exam in Islamabad and Lahore. Anticipating the volume beforehand, the Testing department increased testing slots for PTE in July. Exams in July and August were fully booked and, on average, around 90 test-takers appeared at each center every day. PTE is currently the most sought-after English language proficiency exam for university admissions.

Extra sessions to accommodate USMLE match deadline

With a limited number of medical residency positions in the United States each year and the deadline for residency match nearing, the Testing department held extra sessions to accommodate USMLE test-takers. A total of 16 sessions were opened for over 200 aspiring medical professionals at all three centers.
