This quarter, EducationUSA Pakistan donated GRE and TOEFL preparation books to 18 Lincoln Corners across the country and the American Center in Islamabad. Prospective students who want to apply to the United States can peruse these books at the Lincoln Corner closest to them.
Many higher education institutions in the United States consider the GRE score an essential component of the application for admission and require the TOEFL to assess English language proficiency. Even for the Fulbright scholarship, all applicants must take the GRE and all shortlisted candidates must take the TOEFL.
What are Lincoln Corners?
Lincoln Corners are partnerships between the U.S. Embassy and selected institutions in Pakistan. Located within universities, public libraries, and cultural centers, these multi-media resource spaces encourage visitors to connect, practice their English, and learn about USA. Each corner hosts cultural programs and has a bilingual Pakistani professional to assist visitors.
