From November 9 to 16, USEFP and EducationUSA Pakistan participated in the Dawn Education Expo, underscoring the commitment to facilitating access to world-class education in the United States for Pakistani students. Held in Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore, this was Pakistan’s largest international exhibition, featuring 70 institutions from various countries including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Germany.
Impressive footfall
USEFP and EducationUSA team members were on their best game – the turnout at their booth in each city exceeded 2000 visitors a day! Our staff shared advice and guidance freely with students and their families, making sure no question was left unanswered.
Queries directed towards the EducationUSA team ranged from identifying opportunities and programs in the United States, finding appropriate funding, and figuring out ‘best fit’ to filling out applications, writing personal statements, and understanding cultural nuances.
USEFP’s Programs department actively promoted fully funded opportunities, including the prestigious Fulbright Degree Program, the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship, the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD), and the Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program. Visitors received detailed information about the eligibility criteria, application requirements, and benefits of these programs. Young professionals interested in mid-career fellowships, exchange opportunities, and advanced degrees were especially drawn to the USEFP table.
The Karachi expo was held at the Pearl Continental Hotel, the Islamabad expo was at Serena Hotel, and the Lahore expo was at Nishat Emporium.
