This August, USEFP Executive Director Dr. Peter K. Moran sat down with Dawn.com, Pakistan’s premier English-language news outlet, to discuss the enduring partnership between the United States and Pakistan and the role of academic exchange in strengthening it.

In the interview, Dr. Moran underscored the importance of programs such as the Fulbright scholarship, the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship, and other U.S. government–funded initiatives that continue to create transformative opportunities for Pakistani students, scholars, and professionals. He noted how these exchanges promote academic excellence, foster global collaboration, and build bridges of mutual understanding between the two nations.

“Education has always been a bridge between our nations,” Dr. Moran shared. “Through exchange, we learn from each other’s strengths and build the foundations for shared progress.”

Dr. Moran’s remarks reaffirm USEFP’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that students and scholars from every corner of Pakistan have access to world-class educational opportunities in the United States.
