This February, EducationUSA advisers Noor ul Ain and Natalia Khan conducted extensive outreach in Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Sargodha. Over the course of four days, they visited 11 schools and five universities to promote U.S. higher education opportunities. Their sessions saw a combined footfall of over 710 students.
Invaluable face-to-face interaction
At each institution, the team gave detailed presentations on EducationUSA’s 5 Steps to U.S. Study. For graduate students, sessions on funding and assistantships were also organized. Each presentation was followed by a Q&A session in which enthusiastic prospective students were able to get tailored guidance.
“Meeting students in these cities was a wonderful experience. They asked nuanced, relevant questions and blew us away with their caliber,” said Noor ul Ain. “There’s so much talent across the province and we’re glad we could experience it first-hand – it will help us craft more compelling, targeted programming for the future.”
Tanveer Hassan from the U.S. Consulate General Lahore joined Team EducationUSA for outreaches to GIFT University, Beaconhouse Gujrat Campus, and the University of Gujrat to promote various programs the U.S. Embassy oversees.
