In January, under the banner of Fulbright Connect, the Alumni department hosted a networking event at USEFP’s regional office inside Forman Christian College in Lahore. Around 80 alumni came together for an evening dedicated to engagement, idea sharing, and community building.
This professional networking event is hosted annually across six cities nationwide for Fulbright and Humphrey alumni, U.S. Government representatives, and special guests. At this particular session, USEFP Executive Director Rita Akhtar delivered the opening remarks.
“Fulbright Connect is a useful professional networking platform for our dynamic alumni community in Pakistan that boasts over 3,500 members,” said an attendee. “The participants in Lahore, which included many changemakers, discussed pertinent collaborations and built lasting connections, all while having a good time. Conversations flowed well into the evening.”
U.S. Consulate General Lahore Public Affairs Officer Sandeep Paul, Forman Christian College Rector Dr. Jonathan S. Addleton, and USEFP Alumni Affairs Director Mazhar Qayyum Awan were also in attendance.
