Testing Department Meets Increasing Demand Head On

NEW PIC

This quarter, Team USEFP took a big step to increase testing capacity: to cater to the rising demand from academic and professional test-takers, the testing department decided to stay open six days a week (instead of five) at all three testing centers.

This move gives students and professionals the flexibility to choose from more dates and schedule tests during the weekend. An additional 180 slots per month have been added to each center’s capacity and new staff members have been hired to successfully manage the increased workload.

Some other highlights of the quarter are:

Launch of Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP)

After the success of the Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) exam at the Karachi testing center, it is now being offered in Islamabad and Lahore as well. CELPIP is a computer-based English language proficiency exam designated for permanent residence applications by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). It is also accepted for work and professional designations.

Secret audit passed with flying colors

Over the years, USEFP’s testing labs have received various accolades by Prometric for their outstanding services, and this quarter was no exception. The Islamabad and Lahore test centers once again passed a secret audit by successfully identifying a prohibited item (in this case, a piece of paper) inside the exam lab.

These audits are conducted frequently to check the efficacy of USEFP’s security procedures and alertness of test center administrators. Our labs often rank among the top 10 testing sites in the Australasia region.
